This lamp provides a warm light without glare, and is very handsome both ON and OFF.

The materials are of fine quality and the design is pleasing and well proportioned. It fits with my arts and crafts / mission style period decor.

I am using this lamp indoors to fit my decor and to provide an alternative to a spot lamp over my sink, one that provides ambience to the surrounding space and "working light" to the sink below. I am using a clear bottom glass.
Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
